Bloemfontein Celtic captain Thabo Nthethe may be on the verge of signing for Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nthethe, who has only ever played for Celtic in his ten year professional career, recently signed a new contract with Siwelele, but the Siya-crew have been reliably informed that while a deal has not been reached yet, negotiations are underway between the two clubs for the player.
Sundowns will hope to convince Celtic to sell their captain and have until 5pm tomorrow to get the deal done, when the local transfer windows closed.
Orlando Pirates had also been rumoured to be interested in the player, but it seems their interested has died down.
Nthethe, who will turn 30 in October, has sixteen caps for the national team and captained Bafana Bafana in their 3-1 loss to Nigeria in the final game of CHAN's Group A.
