Bloemfontein Celtic have revealed that Thabo Nthethe is responding well to treatment and will be fit for the match against University of Pretoria on Saturday.
Nthethe picked up what appeared to be a hamstring injury in Bafana Bafana’s 4-1 win over Botswana on the weekend and could not play in the 2-1 midweek loss against Zimbabwe.
According to the club’s website, the defender is feeling better. “The Celtic medical team correctly identified the problem as a SI joint pain in the lower back and he is on track and feeling much better,” stated the club's official website.
Meanwhile, left back Tsietsi Mahoa and striker Lerato Manzini have returned to full training. However, they are unlikely to start in the duel against Tuks due to their match fitness levels, although they are available for selection.
Tladi Majake will be going for his final shoulder operation today (Thursday) and will be out for three months.
