Lesotho coach Leslie Notsi says that he was pleased with what he saw despite their 2-0 loss to South Africa in an international friendly on Sunday.
For large portions of the game Lesotho chased the ball as South Africa dominated possession and a double from Tlou Segolela allowed Bafana Bafana to leave with a win.
The hosts finished the game strongly though, having rattled the woodwork twice, and Notsi was happy to work things out before their upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Lesotho face tough matches, first travelling to Zambia before hosting the Black Stars of Ghana.
"We saw things that we wanted to see. Going forward to our encounter with Zambia, I think we have got positive outcome in terms of our preparation. Yes, we may have lost the game today, but going forward I think that things look good," he said.
Asked if the amount of substitutions in friendly games affected their plans, he continued, "Not really, but at times it does give some players an opportunity to showcase what they can give me. And also I'm working on some tactical approaches that I believe would see my team progressing."
