Luyolo Nomandela has explained that he missed playing competitive football, during his time with Mamelodi Sundowns in the first half of the season.
The midfielder, who secured a loan move from Sundowns to Moroka Swallows in January, has been getting game-time under Fani Madida at the Dobsonville outfit.
Nomandela had two substitute appearances under Pitso Mosimane at Downs, during the first half of the 2014/15 Absa Premiership campaign, before requesting a loan move.
“Ah, so far, so good, my bro! The welcome has been great from everyone – the players, the coaches and even the fitness trainers. Ndiziva sharp (I feel good) in a way, and the move was motivated by a desire to get more game-time. The coaches have promised that I will get game-time, but only if Ikeep on working hard.
"It’s not guaranteed that I’ll walk into the team, but I know that if I put in the effort, there’s a chance that I’ll play. There weren’t that many reasons for me to put in a transfer request at Mamelodi Sundowns other than that I wanted to get more game-time.
"I’ve missed playing. I mean, every player wants to see himself on the field. If you remember, the season before I joined Sundowns, I was doing so well and playing regularly for Free State Stars. I was missing those days and my move was only based on that,” said Nomandela.
