AmaZulu are still expected to conclude their contract negotiations with Njabulo Manqana to keep him with the team beyond the current season.
It was revealed by the Siya crew that Usuthu confirmed negotiations are in progress for some of the players in the current squad, including Manqana to have their contracts renewed.
The player’s representative, Lindani Shezi, confirmed to the Siya crew that negotiations are still on-going.
“They (AmaZulu) were busy with Wednesday game (against Platinum Stars), so we didn’t finalise. You can call me again later,” said Shezi.
Manqana has been one of AmaZulu's most influential players at the Durban-based outfit so far this season. The 27-year-old has started in all of Usuthu's 12 games for the side in the 2013/14 campaign.
Another player currently in talks with Usuthu for a new deal is Tamsanqa Teyise, while Marc van Heerden, Tapuwa Kapini and Bongani Ndulula have options on their contracts that are set to be exercised.
