Despite talk of a possible loan move away from Orlando Pirates, Jacky Motshegwa’s agent says that the midfielder is going nowhere.
The 25-year-old has struggled for game time with the Buccaneers since joining from Bloemfontein Celtic in July of last year, and has been linked with a move away.
However, Walter Mokoena, the player’s represenatative, tells the Siya crew that the defensive midfielder is in Pirates’ plans for this season, and that while some Buccaneers could be loaned out, Motshegwa won’t be.
Speaking to the crew he said, “Motshegwa will not be being loaned out, he’s definitely a part of the squad this season. There are clubs interested but he won’t be going anywhere. Pirates may look to loan some players out, but he’s not one of them.
Having not featured in a single league game for Pirates so far this season, it remains to be seen how much of a role Motshegwa will play for Roger de Sa’s side in the next coming months, however he seems prepared to stay and fight for his place in Parktown.
