Ajax Cape Town have opted against responding to the recent media reports which alleged that Tendai Ndoro was held in police custody.
The Citizen reported today that the Zimbabwean striker was released on R1000 bail following allegations of domestic violence towards his wife.
The Siya crew subsequently spoke to an Ajax official, who refused to comment on the matter.
“No comment,” the official revealed.
However, according to Siya sources, the striker did not report to pre-season training yesterday, after the Urban Warriors resembled at Ikamva to prepare for the outcome of their upcoming court appeal.
The source also added that the player is currently not in the Mother City.
Ajax were docked points and automatically relegated from South Africa’s top flight due to the ineligible fielding of Ndoro during the 2017/18 campaign.
Following several court hearings and appeals which were dismissed, Ajax are set to once again appear at the high court, seeking to be reinstated to their 15th position finish.
