Despite much media speculation surrounding potential new signings at Kaizer Chiefs, Soccer-Laduma has learnt that no deal will be completed until Stuart Baxter’s return.
The double-winning Chiefs coach is currently in Sweden on holiday after his successful debut season in the PSL, and it seems that all plans to conclude any transfer dealings have been put on hold until he arrives back at Naturena in a few days time.
Baxter is expected to return to Mzansi around the 28th of June, the same day that his players will be undergoing their medical examinations ahead of their 2013/14 campaign.
Chiefs, who will be defending their PSL title and taking on Africa’s best in the CAF Champions League, will no doubt be looking to strengthen their squad in the coming months, however there has been no official confirmation of any potential targets just yet.
Meanwhile, one player that the Amakhosi did conclude a deal for is youngster, Simphiwe Mtsweni, who joined from Farouk Khan’s Stars of Africa academy.
