Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Rakhale has returned to Sivutsa Stars for the second round of the season, despite speculation being rife that Pirates were considering on re-calling Rakhale to the team.
The player joined Pirates at the beginning of the season, however was subsequently loaned to the NFD outfit in order to gain some valuable game time, and in turn, some much needed experience.
Stars’ communications officer, Charles Nkosi ,confirmed to the Siya crew that there has been no official communication between the two clubs about the player’s return to Parktown.
“The player has returned to the team like everyone else except for the guys that have been released. I only read about his possible return to Pirates in the media. But the chairman hasn’t mentioned anything like that. We haven’t received anything official from Pirates regarding that. They would tell us if such was their intention,” said Nkosi.
Rakhale has been in sizzling form for the Mpumalanga-based outfit this season. He has already netted a hat-trick in the current campaign, as the side look to challenge for PSL promotion.
