Orlando Pirates’ Bafana Bafana internationals will not be allowed any extra time off and will return for pre-season training tomorrow, with the rest of the Bucs squad.
It was previously thought that the Buccaneers would return to training today (June18) although their PRO, Mickey Modisane, has confirmed that they will now only begin tomorrow (Wednesday).
Furthermore, Modisane explained that Senzo Meyiwa, Daine Klate, Oupa Manyisa, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Tlou Segolela will all report for pre-season with the rest of the squad, despite only returning to Mzansi from Bafana's World Cup qualifiers on Monday.
Modisane told the Siya crew, “They’re all coming back tomorrow, it was a decision made by the technical team.”
Pirates begin their pre-season earlier than most of their PSL counterparts, due to the fact that their CAF Champions League group stage campaign will begin next month when they welcome AC Leopards to Mzansi on July 20.
In other news, Ghanaian goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, is set for his medical at the club today.
