Polokwane City caretaker coach, Nkueni Mayala, was delighted to pick up a point away to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Rise and Shine managed to frustrate the Brazilians at the Lucas Moripe Stadium to earn a share of the spoils, which saw them move up to 12th in the Absa Premiership table.
Mayala, who took charge of the side, also reserved special praise for the players, following the goalless draw.
"We played well, it was a game of moments, we had our moments and they also had their moments. When you play against a team like Sundowns, they've got a lot of quality so you need to plan properly," Mayala said after the game.
"We needed to be compact in the midfield and also to be strong at the back so that we can frustrate them, we didn't want to give them space, because if you give them space, they can kill you.
"I want to congratulate my players for the effort they have put in, they have really worked hard according to what we have planned, one point away at Sundowns, you have to take it and be happy."
Man of Match, George Chigova, revealed why it was important that Polokwane got something out of the game.
"It was important, because we only won one game and the all the games we played away, we never got a point, so today I think we did very well, we played and we going home with a point," Chigova added.
