Having returned to Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the 2012/13 season, for his second spell at Naturena, Siyabonga Nkosi helped the Soweto giants clinch the league and Nedbank Cup double.
Nkosi started in 10 of the team’s league outings this season, contributing with two goals in the process. In addition, the midfielder changed the game in the Nedbank Cup final against SuperSport United, coming on as a second-half substitute for George Lebese.
Following an unforgettable season in the colours of Chiefs, Nkosi has admitted that he is happy with his contribution to the team. He said that after failing to lift the league trophy in his first spell with the side, he was determined to succeed in his second attempt.
“I am impressed with what I did this season. In my first time at the team, before I went to Germany, I didn't win the league title and I told myself that this time around I want the league title, and yes as a team we did it.
“With the support we had for each other in the team we won the title and the Nedbank Cup. I am happy with my performance,” said Nkosi with pride.
