Kaizer Chiefs striker, Kingston Nkhatha, is wary of tonight’s opponents, Mpumalanga Black Aces, as the Amakhosi look to get back to winning ways.
Chiefs suffered their first home league defeat in 29 games when they were sunk 1-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns last week, with the Brazilians going level on points with them as a result.
However, Nkhatha, who has scored six PSL goals this season, is eager for Chiefs to put the result behind them and move on.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, the Zimbabwean said, “We want to get back to winning ways against Aces. Against Sundowns we missed our chances. We want to keep our title hopes alive. Aces are difficult and every team lifts their game when they play us. After we lost against Sundowns, many people now think we are going to lose the league. We can’t afford to lose the league.”
Also, when asked about their tight schedule at present, Nkhatha said, “As the players, we talk about these things. It is all about resting well. Proper nutrition and getting ready for the next game.”
Bernard Parker scored the only goal as Chiefs beat Aces 1-0 in their previous league encounter this season, and Nkhatha will be hoping for a similar result this time around.
