Kaizer Chiefs will be without striker Kingston Nkhatha for this weekend’s Nedbank Cup final, due to the yellow card that he picked up against University of Pretoria last weekend, in their final league fixture of the season.
The booking was the Zimbabwean’s fourth of the season, meaning that he faces a one-game suspension that is likely to hand Lehlohonolo Majoro a place in Stuart Baxter’s starting line-up.
Nkhatha has scored eight goals in all competitions for the Amakhosi this season, one of which came in their Nedbank Cup round of 16 encounter with Polokwane City.
Baxter played a weakened team in the defeat to Tuks, resting a number of players in order to give them a break before the final or, in Tefu Mashamaite’s case, avoid him from picking up a fourth yellow card.
Saturday’s game begins at 15:00 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as the Glamour Boys attempt to defeat SuperSport United and win a league and cup double.
