Jomo Cosmos have added Niger striker Modibo Sidibe to their roster as the side prepares for the second half of their 2012/13 National First Division campaign.
Sidibe has rejoined Ezenkosi for a second spell with the team. The 27-year-old first joined Cosmos in the 2011/12 season during the side’s brief stay in the PSL, however he was unable to contribute to the team, owing to a career threatening knee injury.
The striker was part of Niger’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations squad, although was unattached to a club at the time of his call up. Sidibe has signed a three-year-deal with the Jomo Sono-coached side.
Cosmos are set to register the player to occupy the spot left by Ousmane Berthe in the team’s foreign quota. Berthe recently parted ways with the side to further his career overseas.
