Bafana Bafana defender, Anele Ngcongca, made his 200th appearance last night for Genk as they drew 0-0 with Waasland-Beveren.
Ngcongca, a regular for club and country, is one of the most reliable defenders to come out of South Africa in recent years and will no doubt be proud of the milestone that he has just reached.
The 25-year-old joined Genk in 2007 having started life as a midfielder for FC Fortune. He signed a four-year deal with the Belgian club and made his debut for them in December of the same year at the age of 20.
Since then, the defender has won four trophies with the club, including two cup victories (2009 & 2013), a Super Cup win (2012) and the Belgian Pro League (2011).

A number of big European clubs have shown an interest in the versatile defender in recent months and, should he continue with his fine performances for Genk in the Europa League this season, he could well land himself a move in the near future.
