Man of the Match Robert Ng'ambi praised his Platinum Stars defenders for their efforts and their character, as Dikwena beat Wits 2-1 tonight in the second-leg of the MTN8 semi-final at Bidvest Stadium.
Ng'ambi, who scored both goals tonight as his team advanced to the final, admitted that the game was difficult, and that it took a team effort to get past the Students.
Having beaten Wits 4-2 in the first leg, and 6-3 overall, Ng'ambi said that the team were looking forward to playing in the final.
"It wasn't an easy game to play, especially after we had another game on Saturday against Chiefs, but we came here with a game plan, and we wanted to score goals.
"We have a good team here, the guys they work really hard. We have a strong defence, you can see that by the way we defended in the first-half. I'm happy with the boys, they really showed their character today.
"It was just the matter of working hard as a team, we knew that it wasn't going to be an easy game to play, but we came here to get the result. That is what we wanted.
"It's always good to play in the final, and we are looking forward to it."
