The Siya crew can reveal that University of Pretoria defender, Warren Bishop, is edging closer to a move away from the club.
Bishop has been a loyal servant of the club over the years, but has not made any appearance for the club so far this season and with his contract coming to an end in June, his future looks bleak at the Tshwane side.
According to a Siya source, the veteran defender is on the wanted list of a couple of clubs in the National First Division, with Milano United, Thanda Royal Zulu and Blackburn Rovers said to be the frontrunners to sign him.
Tuks’ head coach, Steve Barker, recently revealed on the Soccer-Laduma website, “Bishop’s contract comes to an end in June so we’ll possibly sit down in May and see what we can do but he’s staying at the moment.” However, with the player keen for game time, he could well be on his way out.
