5 New Signings Who Could Make Their Debut This Weekend

The transfer window officially closed shut on August 31 and Soccer Laduma takes a look at some of the new signings who could be making their official debut for their clubs this coming weekend.

Phakamani Mahlambi:

Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed the signing of Mahlambi during the final hours of the July/August transfer window, with Head Coach Pitso Mosimane hopeful that the player can help turn the team’s fortunes around in terms of goalscoring. Masandawana will face AmaZulu FC in the Absa Premiership this weekend and it remains to be seen whether the player will be in contention to make his official debut for the club.

Lebogang Manyama and Mario Booysen:

Both Booysen and Manyama put pen to paper on a contract with Chiefs last month, August 22, although are yet to make their official debut for the club as they were still looking to reach match fitness. Chiefs travel to the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday where they will lock horns with Cape Town City and it remains to be seen whether Head Coach Giovanni Solinas will give the duo a run-out.

Tokelo Rantie:

Rantie made his return to South Africa recently when he put pen to paper on a contract with City after being out of action for several months. However, it seems that Rantie may need some more time to gain match fitness, although, there could be a possibility that he could make his debut for City against Chiefs this weekend.

Sibusiso Kumalo:

Kumalo completed a season-long loan move to Bidvest Wits from Sundowns on August 30 and it remains to be seen whether the midfielder will make his first appearance for the log leaders this weekend against Maritzburg United.
