Chippa's New Signing Makes A Promise
New Signing Brings Competition At Chippa United
Chippa United’s latest signing is looking forward to the challenge of playing ‘straight away’ in Teboho Moloi’s team.
As confirmed by the Port Elizabeth outfit, Bantu Mzwakali is the club’s latest signing, following his move from Ajax Cape Town.
Speaking to the club on his arrival in Port Elizabeth on Monday, the 24-year-old confirmed that he has always wished to play for the Chilli Boys.
“It has always been my ambition growing up in Cape Town to don the blue and white of Chippa United, and I am over the moon to finally be here.
“I am ready to play straight away, but I know that I have to fight and show the Coach on the training ground that I am ready.
“I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and of course delivering for the Club’s great supporters,” the midfielder told Chippa’s official website.
Mzwakali has joined Chippa on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
“I am delighted to announce the arrival of Bantu Mzwakali. He is a player who has shown a lot of potential over the years, and will strengthen our arsenal,” said club chairman Siviwe Mpengesi.
Meanwhile, the players that have recently left the Eastern Cape outfit have been thanked for their contribution by Mpengesi.
“I would like to thank Sandile Zuke for the contribution he has made to the development of this football club since his arrival here.
“(Samuel) Julies in a short space of time with us made a notable contribution as well. I would like to thank both players and wish them all the best,” concluded Mpengesi.
