New NFD Club Keen On Strengthening The Team
New National First Division club, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhadila, is working on concluding a deal for Rofhiwa Tshikovhi to join the team for the new season.
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that the former Platinum Stars defender agreed to a deal to join Black Leopards. It has now been confirmed that there has been a change of mind and that a request for the player to leave the Lidoda Duvha camp has been put forward to the club.
Contacted for comment, the player’s representative Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi has confirmed that the towering centre back is likely to join TTM.
“It is true that we are in negotiations with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhadila Football Club for Rofhiwa Tshikovhi. The player had initially signed with Black Leopards but there was a change of plan after Tshakhuma showed serious interest in him. Leopards have agreed to terminate the player’s contract to allow him to move on.
“Tshikovhi played for Tshakhuma in their friendly match against Baroka yesterday (Thursday). When the opportunity for him to play for a club closer to home (TTM) he was so keen to join them. We managed to terminate the contract with Leopards amicably. We would like to thank the Leopards management for understanding,” said Mulovhedzi.
As confirmed by the player’s representative, Baroka FC is also showing interest in the 28-year-old defender’s services, following their friendly game against TTM.
