Nedbank Cup Last 32
Teams: United FC v AmaZulu
Date: 23 February 2014
Venue: Olympia Stadium
United FC will look to upset AmaZulu in the 2014 Nedbank Cup Last 32 when the two teams clash at the Olympia Stadium on Sunday.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
The National First Division club enjoyed a strong run in the Nedbank Cup last year, eliminating Chippa United (3-2 after extra time), Jomo Cosmos (1-0) and African Warriors (3-2) to reach the semifinals.
The last four was where their Nedbank Cup dream came to an end, as they succumbed 2-1 to eventual champions Kaizer Chiefs.
AmaZulu – runners up in the Nedbank Cup in 2010 and six-time finalists in this competition’s history – will be looking to avoid another early upset exit.
In 2013 they were beaten 2-1 at home by lower league Tembu Royals.
However, Usuthu have enjoyed a solid league campaign so far this season and look a much improved outfit under coach Craig Rosslee.
They find themselves placed comfortably in fifth position in the top flight.
United have had a similar campaign in the National First Division and while they are only outsiders to challenge for promotion to the Premiership, they are also in no apparent danger of slipping down into a relegation scrap.
