Free State Stars goalkeeper, Celi Ndwandwe, is expected to spend the season on loan at Maluti FET College, if latest news reaching the Siya crew is anything to go by.
Ndwandwe struggled for game time since joining the Bethlehem-based side in the 2012/13 season.
The KZN-born player turned out for Ethekwini Coastal FC in the SAB League before his move to Ea Lla Koto.
Although the 21-year-old caught the attention of football fans with his superb showing for Ethekwini against Orlando Pirates during the Nedbank Cup in 2012, his career stagnated in the one-and-a-half season he has been with Stars.
Ndwandwe wants to resurrect his career elsewhere just like his former teammate Thapelo Mkhatshwa did when he left for Witbank Spurs recently.
“It looks like Celi Ndwandwe will be playing for Maluti on loan. They have been in discussions about that. Thapelo Mkhatshwa is in Witbank,” a source at Stars revealed.
Ndwandwe hasn’t played any games for Stars this season, while Mkhatshwa made a single start in the first half of the campaign.
