Ndlovu Completes SuperSport Loan

SuperSport United have added another striker to their arsenal with the signing of Bafana Bafana international, Dino Ndlovu, from Maccabi Haifa.

The Siya crew reported earlier this week that Ndlovu and Matsatsantsa were waiting for Haifa to respond to a loan offer put forward by the Tshwane-based outfit, a loan offer that has since been accepted.

Ndlovu has joined SuperSport on a six-month loan until the end of the season, with the PSL outfit having included an option to buy should he him impress in the offer that they put forward.

Speaking to the club's official website, Ndlovu said, “I am really happy with the move. I’ve been trying to get out on loan for a while from Israel and my agent was speaking to various teams, but SuperSport showed the highest commitment to bring me home.

“I’m very happy to be here. At my age I played a few games last year and some this year but never really consistently in the team so we had a talk and agreed I had to get out and play regular Football so hopefully I can do that here.”

The 23-year-old forward hasn’t played in the PSL since his loan from Mamelodi Sundowns to Bloemfontein Celtic, and SuperSport will be hoping to see him show some of the form he was in for Haifa last season.

Ndlovu was South Africa’s highest scoring centre forward abroad last year, scoring 17 goals, however he has struggled in Israel in the past few months, recently being subjected to racial abuse at a training session after being told to 'go home to Uganda'.

Ndlovu, who was believed to be a target for both Orlando Pirates and Sundowns, will be eager to get himself back amongst the goals and back into Gordon Igesund’s Bafana setup.

The transfer is one of the biggest moves of the transfer window so far, and certainly a big coup for the Tshwane-based side, who have done some impressive business in bringing in the likes of Lebogang Manyama, with pre-contracts with Clayton Daniels and Thato Mokeke also secured.

Word reaching the Siya crew is that SuperSport are currently in the process of trying to get Ndlovu registered so that he can feature in the CAF Confederation Cup for them, although due to the PSL offices being closed they may have missed that opportunity.

Is a move to SuperSport a good one for Ndlovu?
