Mpumalanga Black Aces have signed Wits midfielder Ofentse Nato on a one-year loan deal, adding to the new signings made by the Clive Barker-coached outfit over the past week.
The Botswana international joined Wits at the beginning of last season, however failed to establish himself with the the Clever Boys, and will now be looking to gain some much needed game time.
Barker, who was in charge of Wits for the second half of last season, will be familiar with the player and know what he can offer to his newly assembled squad.
A source at Wits told the Siya crew that the striker will start training with his new team this week.
“The two teams have agreed on a loan deal for Nato and he will be at Aces for a year, as per the agreement,” said the source.
Jose Ferreira, Wits' CEO, as well as the player's agent, Paul Mitchell, of Siyavuma Sports Group, confirmed that the Botswana international has been sent on loan to Aces.
“Yes, Nato has been loaned to Aces but there is nothing yet concerning the other players," Ferreira explained.
