National First Division title chasers Black Leopards are out of the race for an automatic spot in next season’s PSL after a shock 1-0 home loss to United FC.
This exciting encounter played at the Giyani Stadium was the only second-tier match of the weekend but the result means that log leaders Chippa United require just a single point next Sunday to be crowned champions.
During the first half both sides missed penalties with Edward Williams and David Zulu unable to convert, however, Siyabonga Zulu hit the winner for Leslie Notsi's outfit which gives them a slim chance of reaching the play-offs.
Leopards still occupy second spot on 44 points but with three clubs, Milano United, Jomo Cosmos and Baroka FC sitting two points adrift with a game in hand, it’s anybody’s guess as to which two sides will join the PSL’s 15th placed team for the PSL Promotion/Relegation Play-Offs.
