Mpumalanga Black Aces have revealed that midfielder Abia Nale and striker Mabhuti Khenyeza have resumed training after recovering from their assortment of injuries.
Also returning from injuries are defender Thabang Rooi and midfielder Clifford Ngobeni.
Bad news for AmaZayoni is that Tshidiso Tukane hasn’t recovered yet from his knee injury, but according to the official Aces website, the 28-year-old midfielder could make a return for AmaZayoni when they take on Moroka Swallows on February 5.
“Tshidiso sustained a knee ligament injury. He is progressing well and should be back in time for the resumption of the second round of the season,” read a statement on the official Aces website.
Meanwhile, Aces coach Clive Barker has taken his team to Nelspruit on a five-day long minicamp to prepare for the Swallows match.
“The long break was for all the teams so we cannot complain. We returned to training on Monday last week and we are all happy to train hard and be ready for our next match. It’s always going to be difficult for any team to play a match having spent the entire month without competitive action in the league," said Barker.
"But we have a plan and that is why we’re having this camp in order to keep the squad in good shape before we resume with the business next month against Swallows," concluded Barker.
