Bloemfontein Celtic defender Limbikani Mzava says he is not sure when he will recover from injury, but is itching to get back to action.
The Malawian central defender has been a key member of the Phunya Sele Sele and has made 11 starts so far this season. However, he has missed the club’s last two games after he sustained a groin injury and will miss the Free State derby against archrivals Free State Stars on February 2.
His absence has resulted in the club signing Musa Bilankulu on a short-term loan deal from Wits, but the 20-year-old Mzava is looking to make a comeback sooner than later.
He told the Siya crew, “To be honest with you, I’m not sure when I’ll be fully recovered and ready to play. But what I can say is that I’ll be back soon. I know my team needs me but I’m not okay and can’t rush myself.”
