It’s 'Mzansi vs The World Monday', where Soccer-Laduma gives you the opportunity to compare a South African football moment to that of the rest of the world, and vote on which you believe is the best.
This week we’re looking at two rather special free kicks. The first comes from Orlando Pirates man, Daine Klate, and the second from Everton’s dead ball specialist, Leighton Baines.
This left-footed effort from the Pirates winger proved to be decisive for the Buccaneers as they beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the first leg of the MTN8 semifinal. His curling free kick left Itumeleng Khune with no chance.
Baines, another left footer, also bent his free kick in from a reasonable range, putting it right in the top corner as he almost single-handedly led his team to a 3-2 victory over West Ham in the English Premier League.
Whose free kick is better?
