FC Cape Town Going Dutch?

Mystery surrounds the appointment of a new head coach for the National First Division’s FC Cape Town following the departure of ‘caretaker’ Sello ‘Jomo’ Ntuli, who took over from Duncan Lechesa for the latter part of the season.
While club owner, Errol Dicks, recently confirmed to Soccer Laduma that Ntuli would stay on, in the same breath, he spoke about ‘big plans’ for 2014/15 involving a former Ajax Cape Town employee.
However, the African Beasts chairman would not elaborate. “I knew you were going to put me under pressure,” he told the Siya crew. “I’ve employed a high-profile technical director to run our whole programme. You know him. He’s an ex-big boy from next door who was kicked out of Ajax.”
One reliable source believes Jan Pruijn is the man, saying, “I was told that the last few games Jan was hanging around, getting involved there, so don’t be surprised if he’s coming on board.”
Meanwhile, Ntuli is back in the Free State searching for a new club. “I was not fired. I left on my own,” he said. “Duncan (Lechesa) and I did a good job, but if people don’t appreciate it, why not look for something else? It’s almost time to report for pre-season. I can’t rely again on being his assistant and as a man sometimes you must hustle for yourself.”
If Pruijn is indeed FC Cape Town’s technical director, then only time will tell who he’ll bring in as head coach.
