Mpumalanga Black Aces have won only one of the three league games they have played so far this season after returning to the PSL.
This afternoon they face a daunting task when they host the ever improving and current league leaders SuperSport United, who have won all three of their Premiership games so far.
Still, despite the contrasting records in the new season Aces captain Method Mwanjali is optimistic his side are ready for this game.
He told the Siya crew that the spirit in the camp is high.
“We are ready for SuperSport United,” said Mwanjali.
“We know they are the log leaders at the moment and how hard it will be to play them in their current form, but the team spirit in our camp is high, and we want to continue with playing well and winning.
“We have only won one game, but we have been playing very well and that's a good sign going forward.
“For today we need a win.”
Historically Aces seem to get the better of SuperSport. In head-to-head stats, Aces and SuperSport have met in 16 league matches since 1990.
AmaZayoni have eight wins compared to Matsatsantsa’s four, while four matches have been drawn.
Moreover, Aces have a good home record against United, with four wins and just one loss from eight matches.
