Muhsin Ertugral Wants To Take Ajax Cape Town Away From Relegation Struggle
Newly appointed Ajax Cape Town head coach, Muhsin Ertugral has revealed his vision for the club in the second half of the 2017/18 season.
The Urban Warriors parted ways with Dutchman, Stanley Menzo yesterday, December 21, after management decided that a change to the team’s technical bench was the best solution to try and turn their misfortunes around.
Hours later, former Orlando Pirates mentor, Ertugral was appointed at the helm of the team, making his return to the club for the fourth time in his career as a head coach.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Turkish-born head coach has revealed his plans for the team in the second half of the season which involves possibly strengthening the squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
“I have watched the team recently and believe that with one or two additions in critical positions, we will be able to find ourselves in a more respectable position on the log standings,” the 58-year-old said.
“There are many talented players in the team and I believe with the right guidance, I will be able to get the best out of them.”
“I would like to thank the Board of Ajax Cape Town for the opportunity to once again allow me to lead this great club and hope that I will be able to bring back a smile to our incredible and loyal supporters,” he added.
