Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral has revealed that he had to cut down on his squad as it was too big, and that further cuts could come.
Aces remain one of the few teams yet to lose an official game in the current season, despite having gone through a difficult campaign last time around.
Asked by the Siya crew why the team had improved so much, said that the size of the team had contributed to the success of the team.
"We have a manageable squad. You know when I came in last season we had close to 30 players but that was too much and we had to cut it to 23, but that still big,” he said.
“I want to have 20 players so that the competition is very tough and the results will continue to come. We still want to cut down the squad that we have at the moment," the former Kaizer Chiefs coach concluded.
