Chippa United coach Wilfred Mugeyi has appointed Humphrey Sithole and Walter Khumalo to assist him on the Chippa bench, as part of the side’s technical team.
Mugeyi, who took over at the helm of the Chilli Boys last month, believes that the duo can help him guide the team out of the relegation zone and salvage their PSL status.
Sithole will work as the team’s assistant coach, while Khumalo will use his expertise in the goalkeeping department to train the keepers. Sithole previously worked as an assistant at NFD outfit, Dynamos.
Khumalo was a goalkeeper until recently, having played for various clubs during his professional career, including the likes of Free State Stars, Black Leopards and AmaZulu. The 40-year-old will help Niger international goalkeeper Kassaly Daouda, and the other shot-stoppers in the squad, to perform at their best.
The new technical team’s first assignment will be in tonight's Absa Premiership fixture against Free State Stars at the Charles Mopeli Stadium.
