On-loan Polokwane City defender, Vusi Mthimkhulu, is set for a return to his parent club, Orlando Pirates, when his contract expires at the end of June 2014.
The 28-year-old defender is yet to make an appearance for the Buccaneers after spending two seasons out on loan, firstly at NFD outfit, Thanda Royal Zulu in the 2012/13 season before moving on to Polokwane City in the 2013/14 season.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Mthimkhulu confirmed that he has been re-called back by Orlando Pirates to join the squad.
“My contract comes to an end this month, and Orlando Pirates have recalled all the players who have been out on-loan. I will be meeting with my agent tomorrow to discuss my options, however I have expressed that I would like to remain at Polokwane City where I can get game time”, said Mthimkhulu.
“Polokwane City have shown interest in me staying at the club, however we will have to wait for Pirates to make the final decision,” explained the defender.
Mthimkhulu’s agent also confirmed that they will wait for Bucs to make the decision whether he will be needed in the upcoming season as part of Vladimir Vermezović's squad before making any verdicts.
