Platinum Stars should have their striker, Siphelele Mthembu, fit and ready for the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout.
Dikwena secured their place in the last eight of the tournament this past weekend with a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United, although Mthembu didn’t feature because of a calf injury.
However, with the next TKO game set to be played later this month, Mthembu is expected to be fit for that encounter and could lead Allan Freese’s line-up when they take on whoever they are drawn against.
The draw for the quarterfinals will take place at 20h00 tonight when the teams that claimed victory in the last 16 will discover who they will have to beat in order to reach the semifinals.
Mthembu has been in fine form for Dikwena so far this season, grabbing a number of goals and assists and receiving a Bafana Bafana call-up for his efforts.
