The club’s PRO, Aubrey Molobi, recently confirmed to the Siya crew that they were assessing both Mthembu and captain, Vuyo Mere, ahead of this weekend’s encounter, but admitted that they were preparing for the game without them.
Meanwhile, the crew reported yesterday that Mere would face around three weeks on the sidelines with his injury, however the diagnosis of Mthembu is much better, and he should be available for Dikwena’s game against AmaZulu next week.
Siya sources have explained that the 26-year-old forward is back in training with his teammates, although is not yet fully recovered from the injury that he picked up in the win over Maritzburg United last month.
It remains to be seen which starting line-up up Allan Freese will put out against Chiefs on Saturday night, although he will be hoping that his side keep up their run of impressive form in the league and cup.
