A former Bloemfontein Celtic coach has been tasked with leading Mthatha Bucks in their National First Division campaign of the remainder of the 2017/18 season.
Duncan Lechesa has replaced Ian Palmer as the coach of the Eastern Cape-based outfit. Bucks parted ways with Palmer last month, as the club continues to battle away in the secind tier.
Mondli Funani and Sibusiso Mapompo had been in charge on a caretaker basis in the interim, as Bucks management were searching for Palmer’s replacement.
The club has confirmed that Lechesa is the man that has been tasked with taking charge of the team’s technical bench going forward.
Lechesa had been involved in the youth development at Celtic in recent years. In addition, he previously worked as an assistant coach for Celtic.
Polokwane City and Royal Eagles are of the other clubs the 41-year-old has coached during his coaching career.
