Makola: We Can Bounce Back

Orlando Pirates veteran midfielder Mpho Makola has told Soccer Laduma that it’s still early days and that the team can bounce back following their 3-0 defeat to Ajax Cape Town.
The Buccaneers had shown recent good form, however, succumbed to a ruthless Ajax who took their chances. The defeat means that the Soweto giants have slipped down the log from third to the fourth spot.
“There are still 12 games to play and lots of points to play for so we can bounce back. That’s a lot of game especially if you consider that it's only taken us five games to be in (the) third spot before our game so with 12 remaining games are a lot of time to recover,” Makola told the crew.
“It’s not that we can’t win games but we will need to be more consistent. This is how you win the win the league, it’s about consistency and the remaining games will need us to be more consistent,” added the midfielder.
Makola was substituted early in the first half and replaced with veteran defender Happy Jele following Yannick Zakri first goal of the fixture.
Milutin Sredojević men’s will have to bounce back to stay in the title race and not slip too far back from the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
Pirates next welcome Maritzburg United at the Orlando Stadium this coming Saturday where Sredojević has called for his charges to roll-up their sleeves and begin grafting for their results.
