Bafana Bafana’s Katlego "Killer" Mphela did not score in the team's 2-0 win over Angola on Wednesday, however he has praised the team for their convincing victory in their second round Group A fixture of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
He told the Siya crew that they went into the game with an attack minded set-up, a tactical formation that paid dividend. The Mamelodi Sundowns striker said that they could have won the game by a bigger margin, should they have converted all of their chances.
“I have said this before, that we are a good team but we need heart and courage to go out there and win the game. We have to attack and penetrate our opposition and be brave inside the box, which we were.
“Looking at the way we played, we deserved to win. We would have scored more goals but the good thing is we didn't concede so a win was great and we deserved it,” Mphela concluded.
