Bafana Bafana have failed to find the back of the net in their last three outings, having lost 1-0 to Norway in an international friendly, before playing to goalless draws against Algeria and Cape Verde, in a friendly and Africa Cup of Nations game, respectively.
Striker Katlego Mphela believes that the players need to be patient and show character. The Mamelodi Sundowns striker said that the entire team must keep at it, with the goals bound to come.
“I know that we haven't been scoring in international games but you should know that at international level you need to keep trying, have a big heart and a strong mentality.
“Because we are playing against teams who have loads of experience, we need to keep on fighting. We need to score tonight against Angola. But for us to have any chance of going through, we must start scoring those goals.
“We all need to be composed and play our normal game. I think we learnt something against Cape Verde, that we must be patient, mainly in front of goal.
“If I start tonight, I am confident that I can do well and help the team win. We all need to win and no matter who plays and scores, we need the goals," Mphela expressed.
