Mphela: It's Up To The Players

On Saturday the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations gets underway, as Bafana Bafana prepare to open the tournament against Cape Verde at the National Stadium in Soweto.

With the Bafana camp beaming with confidence, striker Katlego "Killer" Mphela tells the Siya crew that the coach has done his job and now it is up to the players to do their part on the pitch.

He said that the players are motivated for the opening game and they know the country will be backing them.

"We have been in this situation before, during the opening of the World Cup and many of the players were in that team. They know the importance of winning the opening game and that's why I am saying that it is now up to the players.

“We have been talking amongst ourselves and we know that we have to win this game. We have been motivating each other and we are ready for the challenge," the Mamelodi Sundowns striker expressed.
