Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, is waiting for results on the extent of his injury.
The former SA U23 player went for a scan yesterday (Monday) on his knee, after picking up an injury during a friendly game.
According to a source close to Sundowns, the results of the scan are expected before the end of the week.
“The player went for a scan on Monday to examine the extent of his injury. It isn’t something that will require an operation or anything like that, although it is not known how long he will be out for,” said the source.
The club has been more like a hospital ward lately, with a number of players having picked up serious injuries.
Glenn Verbauwhede and Mukuka Mulenga are some of the players struggling with injuries. Verbauwhede is set to spend some time on the sidelines after he went under the knife for his Achilles tendon, while Mulenga is expected to go the same route to try and get his ankle sorted out.
