News coming out of the Orlando Pirates camp is that former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Jacky Motshegwa is training with the club.
Motshegwa, who left Celtic at the end of last season, has been linked with various clubs since receiving his clearance from Siwelele.
Moroka Swallows and Polokwane City were thought to be targeting the midfielder, who was deemed surplus to requirements in Bloemfontein, but it now seems as though he could be a Buccaneer come the new season.
Pirates’ Communications Manager, Mickey Modisane, confirmed that the 25-year-old midfielder is training with the Buccaneers.
“Yes, I can confirm that Jacky Motshegwa is training with the team. I can’t comment on the issue of whether he has signed or not, until everything is finalised,” Modisane told the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, Modisane confirmed to the Siya crew that there’s been a slight delay in announcing the list of players who will be released from the club and the players that will be added to their CAF Champions League squad.
“We are still sorting out those lists and as soon as everything is finalised, we’ll make the necessary announcements,” concluded Modisane.
