Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, believes that Esrom Nyandoro and Surprise Moriri have an important role to play in the success of the team.
The two midfielders are some of the senior players in the current Sundowns squad, with Nyandoro having recently recovered from injury.
Mosimane told the club’s official website that the two players can pass on their experience to the younger players.
“The role of players like Surprise Moriri and Esrom Nyandoro is critical. They are the last to have won cups, and they can tell those stories of achievement. We need this experience and the good stories that these players bring,” Mosimane told sundownsfc.co.za.
Moriri has made one substitute appearance for Sundowns so far this season, while Nyandoro is yet to play in an official game for the team in the current campaign.
The Brazilians are preparing for an away game against Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City, on Tuesday September 17, with the side not taking part in this weekend’s round of Absa Premiership action.
