Mosimane On Chiefs Clash

Mamelodi Sundowns were sitting second from bottom of the Absa Premiership table when coach Pitso Mosimane took over at the helm of the Brazilians last year. After four games in charge of the bench, Sundowns are sitting in 10th place. Mosimane collected eight points out of a possible 12 as the team clawed their way up the table.

Tomorrow Sundowns will welcome log leaders Kaizer Chiefs to Loftus Stadium as the PSL resumes, following the Africa Cup of Nations break. The two clubs met in the league at the beginning of the campaign, where Chiefs won 2-1, however Mosimane believes the players’ change in mentality will bring a change in result.

"We changed the way the team was playing and we would want to continue with that when we play Chiefs tomorrow. You know I had to change the shape of the team as I brought in other players who were not playing into the team.

“We will continue to work hard against Chiefs tomorrow and collect the points in this game. It is an important game and our change of mentality is the key to good results," the former Bafana Bafana coach concluded.

Chiefs currently lead the log with 35 points, while Sundowns are sat in 10th position, with 18 points.
