Mosimane Comes Back To Haunt Celtic

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said that he would be back to haunt Bloemfontein Celtic after the way that the Brazilians lost to them last season.

Now with his side’s 3-1 win over Celtic in their first 2013/14 Absa Premiership match of the season, Mosimane is saying ‘I told you so’.

“I told you we would come back to haunt them and we settled the score,” said Mosiman after the game and remembering to when his side lost 1-0 to Celtic last season.

“It is not personal, but the way we lost to them last year I said it would never happen again. We came to Bloemfontein and we did what we had to do.”

Mosimane went on to add that he outsmarted his opponents on the day and also praised Cuthbert Malajila who scored Sundowns’ second goal of the game.

“We did what we came here to do. We were solid. We caught them on the long balls because they know normally we play short, but we caught them with the long balls,” added the coach.

“(Cuthbert) Malajila scored a brilliant goal, that is why we bought him.”

In conclusion, Mosimane thanked the fans for their support and encouraged them to do the same for the whole season.

“If you listen to the supporters signing, this is the beauty of football. This is very good, we came here and this is what we needed from the supporters. I hope all the supporters learn from this kind of support today,” concluded Mosimane.
