Bernard Morrison is a fan favourite at the new club he has joined after leaving Orlando Pirates at the end of last season.
Following unsuccessful attempts by Chippa United to sign Morrison as he was on his way out of Pirates, the Ghanaian left South Africa to join Daring Club Motema Pembe in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The midfielder is attracting crowds to his new team’s training sessions since his arrival at the club, according to reports from Ghana.
“Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Morrison started training with Congolese giants Daring Club Motema Pembe in front of over 150 supporters at the Stade Tata Raphaël. The 25-year-old joined the Green and White lads after struggling for game-time with Pirates and is already familiar with the DR Congo top-flight having played for AS Vita Club before his transfer to the PSL. Hundreds of fans gathered at the Stade des Martyrs to catch a glimpse of their new man,” reported ghanasoccernet.com.

Prior to Morrison joining his new club, there had been calls from the Chilli Boys' chairman Chippa Mpengesi for him to return the R24 000 he allegedly owes him.
According to the boss of the Port Elizabeth club, the money was given to the player at his request as a relocation allowance.
