News reaching the Siya crew is that Moroka Swallows are eyeing the services of Polokwane City captain, Thapelo Tshilo.
The former Jomo Cosmos and Mamelodi Sundowns defender is now focusing on rescuing Polokwane City to survive in the PSL.
The Polokwane-based club finished as number 15 in the league and are now participating in the play-offs to rescue their status. However, a word from the Dube Birds camp is that they’re after the services of Chappies.
A source close to the Swallows camp revealed that coach, Zeca Marques, wants Tshilo at Dobsonville.
“I’m aware that coach Zeca Marques is interested in the player and he has had talks with his manager about a possible move to Swallows. The deal is likely to happen as the player will see his contract coming to an end at the end of June this year with the future of the club not quite bright,” said the source.
Although the crew made strides to reach Tshilo, his phone was unanswered and he was not available to comment.
The Dube Birds mentor, Coach Marques said that he cannot confirm or deny the news but he has a number of players he’s targeting.
“I can’t confirm or deny that we want him but we have a number of players we’re looking to bring on board. I can’t single out one player at this stage,” said Marques.
The crew will monitor the situation and keep you updated.
