Kaizer Chiefs will be without central defender, Morgan Gould, going into this weekend’s Nedbank Cup clash with SuperSport United.
The defender picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in the 1-0 defeat to Mpumalanga Black Aces, meaning that he now faces a one-game suspension.
Gould has been part of the Amakhosi’s squad rotation over the course of the season alongside Tefu Mashamaite and Erick Mathoho, with the latter likely to take his place in the starting XI against Matsatsantsa.
However, Mathoho was nowhere to be seen on Chiefs’ bench in the defeat to Aces, with Ugandan defender, Ivan Bukenya, taking his place alongside Stuart Baxter on the bench.
Now, with Chiefs eager to make sure that they defend the Nedbank Cup trophy that they won last year, Baxter will want to put out a side strong enough to dispatch last season’s finalists.
